A good way to start looking for backdrops is google images.   It's often better to find a large image of a subject that interests you and then look for interesting bits to crop out.  Remember though, some images are copyrighted and check that the author is happy for you to use the image as a source.

Google is a very wide platform for images and it is quite widespread. Any kind of images can be downloaded from it and you have so many results matching your search and so you have lots of choices too.

Google has updated its Google images page with a great design with great thumbnail view and lots of picture...
